A strategic partnership between Doulos and Feabhas will bring together the class-leading and deep competence of Feabhas in real time embedded software training with the competence centers of Doulos in training for hardware and system level design. The Feabhas/Doulos combined portfolio will address the hardware and software knowledge requirements across the embedded systems design domain including System-on-a-Chip (SoC) and combinations of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) microcontroller and FPGA.
Niall Cooling CEO of Feabhas explains “This collaboration brings a sharing of knowledge that can benefit system, software and hardware engineers. No other offering can address the complete spectrum of embedded systems design, from requirements through to partitioning of hardware and software design. We are looking forward to working closely at all levels with such a well-respected and global training organisation as Doulos. As a result of our co-operation software engineers will benefit from an emphasis on optimizing programs to get the most performance and smallest memory footprint from a software design; and hardware engineers will get access to foundation knowledge specific to the software community.”
Rob Hurley,CEO of Doulos continues “Our broad and growing systems business customer base across North America and Europe can now gain all the benefits from integrated training programs for both their hardware and software teams. We are pleased to have found such an expert partner in Feabhas who share our commitment to deliver the highest value in project-ready know-how for engineers.”
The companies will also co-operate to fulfil the embedded software training needs of teams developing ARM based systems. This includes the large software engineering community in the microcontroller domain migrating from 8 to 32 bit processing through to the high end 32 bit multi-core applications. The co-operation will also enable the provision of highly tuned RTOS and Linux training to this expanding ARM user base.
“Doulos have been a strategic training partner for ARM for over 8 years and have a well deserved reputation for the highest standards in training provision,” says Paul Elbro, VP and GM of the ARM Services Division, “This broadening of their portfolio to incorporate embedded software training is great news for the ever expanding end-user community for ARM IP products. This is an important step in development of the ARM training ecosystem as it helps bring design optimization for the ARM architecture to the full range of embedded system engineers”.
